On a side note, there is another youtube channel called "Brake Magazine" (English guy) and the guy recently did a review of the new F900 GS. But in the lead up to it, He talks about the previous versions and he states that the one he rates the highest is your model, the F800 GS. Looks like you picked a winner.

Been on a whole bunch of those roads over the years, you brought back some great memories. Fortunately for us, the weather was great in the vast majority. That said, we've done the Waterfall way between Dorigo and the coast like a dozen or so times with only on several of them it was really wet and slippery.

Pity about all the rain you copped. That would be a nice ride on a nicer day.👍

Have had two occasions recently where road hazard signs , have been invaluable , one one the back highway between Grafton and Armidale , the other on Kunalga Rd , between Orana way and the pacific highway .

Did you buy the optional Garmin Topo Maps for Australia to go with your GPS ordinary maps? Do you think it may be worthwhile for off-roading as it's suppose to include additional tracks.

i share your enthusiasm with that model. mine is a 2011. I don´t quite like the design of the boxer 1200 GS, but the yellow or orange colors of the 800 with the GS sign in that color is an eternal one. i´m quite convinced the value of these bikes will rise as i´m afraid those colors are no longer available in the new ones. the visible truss structure is a piece of engineering art. thank you for the advice. i will have to sell mine soon here in Brazil, as i´m moving to portugal, but your video convinced me to buy an exact same model when there. thanks

Loved the mispronouncing of the place names. Just did this trip myself in parts. Miss some of the vistas the old road gave you. All that eyewateringly expensive real estate, all that potential for the Obeids.

Nice one mate, have the xt2 and love it. Agree 100% phone is ok but not good long term. Garmin is awesome too with customer satisfaction. Had a LM590, did a trip from Sydney down Kangaroo valley, power button broke on a 40 degree day. They sent me a newer model LM595.

Great adventure and video tracking the action. The roads didn’t look that bad so do you think a 19” front with adventure tyres could do this trek? Such as triumph tiger xrt. I am short so can’t ride the tall bikes but used to carve through the Watigans on my old VStrom 650 - ha.

I rode my yellow F800GS which looks exactly like your new bike through Abercrombie solo around the same time this video was released. I felt useless after riding through there as it frightened the crap out of me but feel heaps better about the experience after watching your videos. Keep up the awesome content champ!
